- My son started walking. It's crazy how it started on the 23rd with him standing on his own. The next day, he took a few steps. Here we are, 2 weeks later and there's no turning back. My little man is walking around like a little boy. It's so amazing to see him grow. I still think being a mom is the best thing in the world next to finding Justin.
- His fish died and I gave Cal (the fish) the flusheroo this morning. Don't worry - I said some kind words like "sorry I didn't clean your tank enough." Nice mommy, huh? I killed your birthday present.
- My wonderful husband got me the Wii Fit. I like it so far. I just hope I can use it 3-4 times a week. That means Justin will have to give up some TV/Xbox time. Let's hope I make my goal of losing 10 pounds in 1 month. Yes, it might seem like a lot, but I'm going to do my best to make it.
- The trailer at Camper's Hideaway we paid for just 3 weeks ago already has issues. Due to the 4 feet of snow up there, the railing on the deck is trashed. Oh, apparently, it didn't just fall off - it's toast. Other folks didn't fare as well, so we're glad it's just a railing. Justin wanted to put some new steps on there, so this is a good excuse to make it happen sooner rather than later.
- We had dinner out on New Year's Eve. The three of us went to Hopworks Urban Brewery (HUB) on Powell. I tried the barley wine (caution - high alcohol content) and Justin tried some winter brew. The food was pretty good, the beer selection decent, but the service was excellent. It was busy, but we didn't have to wait long for our drinks or food. It's a very kid friendly place, so it was a bit loud, but that's fine by me. I hope we go back in the Spring or Summer so we can enjoy some of their outdoor seating.
- I turn 34 in 2 days. Crazy! I'm officially mid-30's. Thankfully, I already have crow's feet, saggy boobs, mom butt, and gray hair so I'm all set. Age is just a number, really. Hopefully I'll get healthier and start to not look my age. We shall see if I can pull it off.
